Auto Bidding
The Auto Bidding function makes the bidding easy and convenient so that if someone else bids more we will re-bid on your behalf.
How Maximum Bidding and Auto Bidding work.
When you place a bid, you enter the maximum amount you're willing to pay for the item. Only you know what the max bid is that you entered.
We will place bids on your behalf using the Auto Bidding system and in the recommended increments.
We increase your bid as necessary to make sure that you remain the high bidder or up to your maximum amount. If another bidder places the same maximum bid or higher, we notify you by email so that you can rebid if you wish.
Auto Bidding Example
The current bid for an item is $10.00 with $1.00 increments.
Tanya is the current bidder, and has placed a maximum bid of $12.00 on the item. Her maximum bid is kept confidential from others.
Brent bids $11.00 on the item and places a maximum bid of £15.00. Brent becomes the high bidder.
Tanya's bid is raised automatically to $12.00
Brent's bid is raised automatically to $13.00
Tanya is now sent a notification that she has been outbid. If she doesn't raise her maximum bid, Brent will win the item for $13.00
